Under these circumstances the scholarship amount of $10 000 will be held over and ideally will be awarded in the subsequent calendar year.

If the scholarship recipient withdraws from their course before any of the funds are spent then the funds revert back to the Scholarship Administering Body for re-allocation to another applicant.

Any topic related to volunteering in Australia or volunteering done by Australians

Eligibility criteria
Applications will be accepted from any students who are enrolled in a post graduate research program at a university in Western Australia during the term of the award. Students can apply for the award before achieving candidacy but are not eligible to receive the award until after candidacy has been achieved and ethics approval received from the relevant university, if required.
Successful applicants will be required to present their findings to an Australian based forum which include practitioners to ensure that the findings feed back to the relevant communities.
