This year, in partnership with the British Council and the
GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Edinburgh will be offering five
scholarships for students, across China, India, Nigeria, Turkey and Vietnam
applying for an eligible one-year postgraduate Masters programme for the
2023-2024 academic session.
GREAT Scholarships 2023, launched by the British
Council's Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK
universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK
higher education opportunities. The Study UK campaign is offering 150
scholarships from UK universities to students across 18 countries around the
world.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Award
Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will
be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.
Eligibility
At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be
awarded to nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria, Turkey and
Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time
basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters
programme of study. The tables below set out the eligibility criteria per

Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic
merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a
UK first-class honours degree.

Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship
application.
Applications for The GREAT India, China and Nigeria for the
2023/24 academic session are no longer being accepted as the deadline date
of Thursday 30th March 2023 has now passed.
Applications for The GREAT Turkey and Vietnam for the
2023/24 academic session are no longer being accepted as the deadline date
of Monday 15th May 2023 has now passed.

Successful candidates must give written consent to be
contacted by the British Council for pre-departure briefings, programme
reporting, evaluation and promotion for future programmes after issuance of the
Scholarships and further promote GREAT Scholarships through their own
channels. Promotional material must be provided to the British Council
for approval prior to publication.
