Australian Catholic University Law and Business Faculty Scholarships





The Executive Dean's Scholarships are available to international students commencing a course offered by the School of Business course in 2014 and 2015. It is valued at up to AU$8,000.

Danish State Tuition Fee Waivers and Scholarships at Roskilde University





A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered to highly talented students at graduate level, who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and need a residence permit to study at Roskilde University.

The tuition fee waiver and scholarship has a maximum length of 22 months for programmes that start in September and a maximum length of 24 months for programmes that start in February.

Project Description
Improvements in nanoscale fabrication have given us the ability to build structures on scales where quantum effects do not only have to be considered, but enable device operation. For this project we are interested in quantum networks of spins, which have properties very different from classical networks, that hold the potential for low congestion and higher parallel throughput across few quantum wires, in particular, for on-chip interconnects based on spin transport.

Swansea University Fully-funded PhD Studentship in Medicine





Swansea University's College of Medicine invites applications from highly motivated and ambitious candidates for a fully-funded PhD studentship.

The project involves an investigation into the rheological properties of blood clots, in order to develop a new biomarker for predicting risk of embolic events in patients with Deep Vein Thrombosis.  The student will be based at the Centre for Nanohealth, but will also carry out research at the Haemostasis Biomedical Research Unit on site of Morriston Hospital. As part of the project, the student will be given the opportunity to spend a period at Penn Medicine, USA to undertake training using advanced imaging techniques such as Spinning Disk Confocal Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy.

The Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to hire an Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Humanities for a two-year appointment commencing Fall 2015.

The Fellow will spend the two-year term in residence at Illinois, conduct research on the proposed project, and teach two courses per year in the appropriate academic department.
The Fellow will participate in activities related to his or her research at the IPRH, in the teaching department, and on the Illinois campus. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will also give a public lecture on his or her research.

Postdoctoral Fellowships at Dartmouth College





These fellowships foster the academic careers of scholars who have recently received their Ph.D. degrees, by permitting them to pursue their research while gaining mentored experience as teachers and members of the departments and/or programs in which they are housed. The Swiss government, through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), awards various postgraduate scholarships to foreign scholars and researchers:

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2015 ACSBI Fellowships.

The ACSBI offers a 12 months fellowship with a value of USD50,000 for beginning investigators. Preference will be given to projects with potential benefit to low- and middle-income countries.
