Georgetown MSFS Scholarship





The Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (MSFS) invites talented students from Sub-Saharan Africa to secure scholarship for the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) Program.

As of fall 2014, the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University began offering a full-tuition scholarship for a talented graduate student from sub-Saharan Africa.

Anne McLaren Fellowships





The Anne McLaren Fellowships are aimed at outstanding female scholars in science, technology, engineering and/or medicine at the early stage of their academic careers. The Fellowships enable female researchers in STEM subjects – often under-represented in these areas - to establish independent research careers.

Fellowships normally commence in October 2015, but there is individual flexibility around this date.

University of Bristol International Office Scholarship





The University of Bristol is delighted to announce ten International Office Scholarships for new international students for 2015 entry:

  • Five scholarships of £8,500 each will be available for prospective undergraduate students.
    This is divided as follows: £3,000 in Year One, £3,000 in Year Two and £2,500 in Year Three. No awards will be made for subsequent years.

Macquarie University 20 International PhD Scholarships (iMQRES)





The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) has announced that up to 20 full-time international research scholarships are available on a first-come-first-served basis for suitably qualified, newly commencing PhD candidates to enrol in Session 2, 2014.

These scholarships will be available for up to 3 years. They are only available to newly commencing full-time international PhD candidates who must enrol and take up this award before 15 December 2014. Failure to enrol before 15 December will result in forfeiture of award.

The Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Fellowship Program was founded in order to train women's human rights lawyers from Africa who are committed to returning home to their countries in order to advance the status of women and girls in their own countries throughout their careers. 

Over 80 women's human rights advocates from Botswana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe have participated in the LAWA Program, and we hope to include Fellows from additional countries in the future.

The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts Visiting Senior Fellowship Program, 2015–2016





The Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts announces its program for Paul Mellon and Ailsa Mellon Bruce Visiting Senior Fellowships. Fellowships are for full-time research, and scholars are expected to reside in Washington and to participate in the activities of the Center throughout the fellowship period.

Lectures, colloquia, and informal discussions complement the fellowship program. Each visiting senior fellow is provided with a study. In addition, visiting senior fellows who relocate to Washington are provided with housing in apartments near the Gallery, subject to availability. Visiting senior fellows have access to the notable resources represented by the art collections, the library, and the image collections of the National Gallery of Art, as well as to the Library of Congress and other specialized research libraries and collections in the Washington area.

Google Research Awards are one-year awards structured as unrestricted gifts to universities to support the work of world-class full-time faculty members at top universities around the world.

Faculty members can apply for Research Awards by submitting a proposal to one of our two 2014 funding rounds. Our 2014 deadlines are April 15 and October 15. Recipients are selected through a comprehensive internal review process and notified of their awards within 4 months of the initial submission. Faculty members can apply for up to 150,000 USD in eligible expenses, but actual award amounts are frequently less than the full amount requested. Most awards are funded at the amount needed to support basic expenses for one graduate student for one year.

Curtin University School of Psychology & Speech Pathology Top Up Scholarship





Applications are invited for a PhD student to be involved in an ARC funded project which will investigate consumers’ reactions to varying combinations of front-of-pack food labels and health claims.

The appointed student will need strong writing and analytical skills.  Previous academic qualifications could include health promotion, nutrition, and/or consumer behaviour. Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa





The Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship Programme in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) invites PhD supervisors from academic institutions in EMEA to submit their proposals for collaborative research projects with Microsoft Research Cambridge.
