The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh in UK offers up to two Master's scholarships in High Performance Computing for the 2015-2016 academic session.
Each scholarship covers UK/EU tuition fees and is tenable for one academic year.
Eligibility
All applicants, regardless of their nationalities, who have been accepted for admission to the MSc in High Performance Computing or the MSc in High Performance Computing with Data Science before the scholarship deadline are eligible to be considered.
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree or its international equivalent.
These scholarships are awarded competitively on the broadly basis of academic merit.
Entry requirements
Minimum entry requirements
The entry requirements are a UK 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent in computer science, physics, informatics, mathematics, engineering or chemistry and experience in computer programming (see below). Applicants who have equivalent work experience may also be considered.
Programming languages
No prior HPC or data science knowledge is assumed, but you should have experience in programming and must be a competent programmer, preferably in C, C++, Fortran, Java or Python.
International students
All international applicants must meet our general entry and English language requirements.
Application Deadline
No separate scholarship application is required. In order to be considered for one of the Master’s Scholarships in High Performance Computing, please submit your application for the MSc in High Performance Computing programme or the MSc in High Performance Computing with Data Science programme by Thursday 1st May 2015.
