University of Waikato International Masters Award





The University of Waikato International Masters Award has been established to support talented University of Waikato international students moving into masters’ study.


The Award offers $2000 for eligible students who have studied at the University in 2014 and are enrolling for the first time into selected masters’ programmes in B or T semester 2014.

Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must:
i) be an international student
ii) have been enrolled and studied at degree level or above at the University of Waikato in 2014
iii) qualify for entry into a selected masters programme
iv) have achieved a minimum of a B grade average in their most recent 120 points of study
v) be commencing fulltime study in a selected masters programme in B or T semester 2014
vi) be committing to enrol for at least a 120 points of study at the University of Waikato towards a
selected masters programme.

The award will have a value of $2000 and will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition fees.

The award is available for the following Masters programmes:
Master of Arts (MA)
Master of Business and Management (MBM)
Master of Cyber Security (MCS)
Master of Disability and Inclusion Studies (MDInS)
Master of Education (MEd)
Master of Educational Leadership (MEdLeadership)
Master of Electronic Commerce (MECom)
Master of Laws (LLM)
Master of Management Studies (MMS)
Master of Māori and Pacific Development (MMPD)
Master of Media and Creative Technologies (MMCT)
Master of Professional Management (MPM)
Master of Science (MSc)
Master of Social Sciences (MSocSc)
Master of Sport and Leisure Studies (MSpLS)

There is no application process for this award. Eligible candidates will be assessed by the relevant
Faculty when they apply to enrol in one of the masters programmes listed above.

An award acceptance form will be sent to each eligible student. The student must accept the offer by signing and returning the award acceptance form to the University by 11 July 2014.
