The University of East Anglia in UK is offering twenty
scholarships to international undergraduate students to celebrate its 50th
anniversary.
We will award 20 undergraduate students with
scholarships covering 50% of the first year's tuition fee (ranging
in value from £6,150 to £7,450 depending on your course.)
Science applicants applying for a degree in the
areas of Actuarial Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computing
Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Energy Engineering and Mathematics will also
be automatically considered for a Faculty of Science scholarship if they are
unsuccessful in receiving a 50th Anniversary scholarship.
Scholarship Application process
If you meet the criteria for these scholarships,
please submit your scholarship application to us by email. For
all scholarships you will need to answer the following two questions:
- Question
1: In approximately 250 words please tell us your reasons for
applying to the University of East Anglia.
- Question
2: In approximately 250 words please explain how an undergraduate
degree from the University of East Anglia would enable you to make a
difference in the future.
Please include your UEA application number, school
of study and course title in your email. You will then be assessed for
all scholarships for which you are eligible. Please do not apply if you do not
have a conditional or unconditional offer from us. Ideally scholarship
applicants should apply as soon as possible after receiving their offer or
notification of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these scholarships you must
meet the following criteria:
- Be
classified as an international (usually non-EU resident) applicant for
fees purposes. See our fees and funding page if you are unsure of
your fee status.
- Hold
a conditional or unconditional offer for year 1 of an undergraduate degree
course starting at UEA in September 2014
- Be
independently funding your studies – i.e. students sponsored by
organisations funding their fees are not eligible to apply. (Students
applying for or expecting to receive government loans are eligible to
apply.)
- Applicants
to courses in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences the School of
Pharmacy are not eligible to apply for the 50th Anniversary
Scholarship.
