The “Towards an HIV Cure” Scholarship Programme
will be open to those who are registered for the 2014 Towards an HIV Cure
Symposium, 19 & 20 July, Melbourne.
Registration to the symposium will be
open from 1 December 2013 until 10 April 2014; applicants will be notified of
their registration status and scholarship request at the end of April 2014.
Application process
The same application system is used for both the
“Towards an HIV Cure” Scholarship Programme and the AIDS 2014 International
Scholarship Programme, as such the two programmes complement each other in
order to optimize resources and offer the maximum scholarship support possible.
Applicants will be asked:
·
if they are interested in applying for a
scholarship to attend the “Towards an HIV Cure” symposium1;
·
to detail their interest in HIV research;
·
to explain their motivation in attending the
symposium;
·
if they have previously attended a “Towards an
HIV Cure” symposium; and
·
to upload their curriculum vitae (CV).
Please note that these questions are mandatory.
Notification process
The notification system of acceptance or rejection
for the “Towards an HIV Cure” Scholarship Programme is separate to that of the
AIDS 2014 International Scholarship Programme. Scholarship notifications for
the symposium will be sent from hivcure@iasociety.org by the end of April 2014.
Accommodation and living allowance
clarification
If awarded accommodation and modest daily living
allowance by the “Towards an HIV Cure” Scholarship Programme, the additional
days of the symposium would also be included, 19 & 20 July 2014.
