Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in China has a range of scholarships and awards on offer to international students at undergraduate level for 2015/16 entry.
1. Entry Scholarship
The University offers an entry scholarship of up to RMB40,000 (approx. USD6,550) per year for international undergraduate students of the 2015/16 intake.
The Entry Scholarship is available for any international student who has applied or is applying for full time degree programme at XJTLU in September of the 2015/16 academic year.
In applying for the Entry Scholarship, you are required to submit a Scholarship Application Form.
The Entry Scholarship can be continued if the recipient’s average score over all courses of the previous academic year rank within the top 25% amongst all students on the same academic programme during his/her year of study at XJTLU.
The Entry Scholarship and the Jasmine Scholarship can not be awarded simultaneously.

3rd round: 30 June 2015
2. Progression Scholarship
Progression scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of students' overall average marks in the previous academic session.
- 1st Class: RMB10,000
- 2nd Class: RMB5,000
3. Government Scholarships
Jiangsu Province Government Jasmine Scholarship (2015 Entries)
In order to further develop the education of international students, Jiangsu Provincial Government has established Jasmine Government Scholarship for International Students studying in Jiangsu Province. The Scholarship is used to subsidize those excellent international students who have applied to study at universities in Jiangsu province. Those who meet the requirements can directly apply to exact universities in Jiangsu province for the scholarship; in this case, you can apply to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
Scholarship Coverage
RMB 30,000/per academic year (Bachelor) - for one academic year only
Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens
2. Agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC
3. Applicants must have a good academic record and merits in the duration of their academic year
4. Do not obtain any other kinds of scholarship offered by Chinese government or local governments
Supporting Documents
The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely.
1. A personal statement with maximum of 500 words on "Why would I want to study in China?"
2. Highest diploma: Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
3. Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
4. A study or research plan. All applicants are required to submit a study or research plan. It must be in Chinese or in English.
