Applications are invited for the Forrest Scholarship at the University of Western Australia in Australia.
Candidates will be drawn from applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic ability and the capacity to undertake research work that will have the potential to change the world we live in. Applicants who wish to study in the fields represented by strong research groups at Curtin as measured by Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) are encourage to apply: Radioastronomy, Agriculture, Material Engineering, Earth Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Human Movement and Sports Sciences, Pyschology, Paediatrics and Reproductive Medicine, Urban and Regional Planning and Cultural Studies.

Scholarship Value
Forrest Scholarships will provide a stipend of $19,000 per annum for up to four years. Successful applicants will have their accomodation at St. George's College and eventually Forrest Hall paid for. In addition, $13,000 is provided during the tenure of the scholarship for relocation costs and for research travel.
Successful candidates from Curtin shall receive an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or Curtin funded equivalent for domestic students or an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or Curtin funded equivalent for international students to cover their tuition fees and health cover.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must have proof of either already been offered admssion at Curtin into a PhD course or have lodged an online application for admission at Curtin;
- Applicants must not have already commenced study;
- Applicants area of research must aligned with Curtin's Research strength;
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an approved university with grades and research training equivalent to an Australian 1st class honours degree;
- Applicants must meet English entry requirement for the chosen course.
