Università della Svizzera Italiana organises a contest for 5 study grants for students admitted to the first year of the Master of Arts in Italian language, literature and civilisation in the academic year 2014/2015.
Priority will be given to candidates that have already obtained or who will obtain by the end of 2014 a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Humanities.
Each bursary corresponds to the annual tuition fee.
The bursary may be renewed and cover the tuition fee for the second Master study year as well. In order to benefit from the renewal, the candidate must pass all the exams of the first year of studies within the three regular exam sessions – winter, summer and autumn (i.e. before the new academic year starts) and keep an average grade of at least 8.1/10.
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of a selection examination, consisting of a written exam and an interview, aimed at determining the level of Italian language and literature knowledge, writing skills, logical reasoning and the motivation of the candidates.
For candidates who have already obtained or who will obtain by August 31st, 2014 a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Humanities, the condition for admission to the examination is a cumulative grade point average of at least 85/100.
For candidates who will obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Humanities by the end of 2014, the condition for admission to the examination is a grade point average of at least 85/100 of all the exams passed by August 31st, 2014.
The deadline for the submission of the applications is August 31st, 2014.
