Applications are invited for three year Research Scholarships for International Students to be undertaken in the School of Life and Health Sciences at Aston University to start in either October 2014 or January 2015.
The School of Life and Health Sciences is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to pursue cutting-edge research. In the 2008 RAE, 85% of the research in the School of Life and Health Sciences was ranked as being of international quality, and the School was ranked 3rd out of 63 UK University submissions to Allied Health Professions and Studies for quality and volume of research. The School currently has a research income of about £8m, with approximately 140 research students, (part time and full-time), who are registered in the School each year.
Financial Support
The scholarships for international students will cover payment of £7,000 per year towards tuition fees Only, which are deducted from the international tuition fees of approx. £14,480 per year, leaving you to find the remaining overseas tuition fees of approx. £7,480 per year. Please Note: You are also liable for funding your own living costs.
The Scholarships are for 3 years, subject to a satisfactory progress review at the end of the first year, and are available for October 2014 and January 2015 Registrations.
Application Requirements:
Applicants should have a good Bachelor (Hons.) Degree (either first class or upper second class) or hold an MSc in a relevant discipline.
The English Language requirements are a minimum overall score of 101 (with minimum marks in each sections of: R: 23, W: 26, L: 23 and S: 22) in TOEFL (Internet-Based) OR IELTS with minimum marks of 6.5 in each section and an minimum overall band of 7.0 OR Pearson with minimum marks of 63 in each section and an minimum overall score of 72.
