The
University of Hertfordshire is offering Chancellor's International Scholarships
to candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential
and the ability to make a significant ongoing contribution to the university
community.
Award Criteria
1. Overseas fees status
Candidates
must be eligible to pay the University's full -time overseas tuition fee.
2. Conditional or unconditional
offer-holder
Candidates
must have applied to the University and have been issued with a conditional or
unconditional offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate
taught degree programme, prior to applying for a Chancellor's International
Scholarship.
3. Academic achievement
Foundation
If the
education system in your home country does not allow direct entry to
undergraduate study in the UK and you are therefore required to complete the
University of Herfordshire International Foundation Programme you are eligible
to apply for the Scholarship.
Undergraduate
Successful
candidates will be required to achieve the equivalent of 340 UCAS points or
above at UK A Level.
Postgraduate
Successful
candidates will be required to achieve the equivalent of a UK First Class or
strong Upper Second Class bachelor degree. Individual module/subject grades
(including resits) will be considered.
4. English language
Successful
candidates will be required to demonstrate a good level of English Language
proficiency, as evidenced by achieving IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any
band) or the equivalent or higher.
5. Personal statement
The
information provided by the candidate in their personal statement will be
considered alongside the evidence of their academic potential.
The
scholarship application deadline for students joining the University in
September 2014 is Friday 25th July 2014, midnight UK time.
