The Centre for Research on Ageing, in collaboration
with the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission, is offering fifteen scholarships
(10 full-time and 5 part-time) for students to study on the MSc Gerontology
(Distance Learning) programme in 2014-15.

The scholarships cover the cost of tuition fees
for the programme, teaching and learning materials, and travel to,
accommodation and subsistence for the 4-day MSc Gerontology (Distance Learning)
Residential Course at the University of Southampton in spring 2015.
Eligibility
Although the scholarships are open to citizens
from any Commonwealth country, preference will be given to applications from
citizens of the Commonwealth countries where the Centre for Research on Ageing
is engaged in collaborative capacity building and research projects. These are:
Bangladesh, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, The Gambia, Ghana, Jamaica, India,
Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan,
Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Trinidad and
Tobago, Uganda and Zambia.
Candidates should have a minimum of an upper
second class (2:1) Bachelors Honours or equivalent degree in the Social
Sciences or a field relevant to Gerontology and Ageing.
