The Environmental Economics Unit (EEU) at the University of Gothenburg, in collaboration with the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics, offer six full scholarships in a PhD program in Global Change and Climate Economics with admission September 2014.
These scholarships are only open to applicants from developing countries and in particular Bangaldesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. The choice of these countries has been made by the Swedish Government on the basis of long-term development cooperation.
The program span is four to five years, of which the first two years consist of compulsary coursework in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, micro- and macroeconomics. The second year includes a sequence of courses in climate and environmental economics.
Deadline for application is 1 April, 2014.
