Each year, The French Development Agency (AFD) in partnership
with the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (PSIA) offers
scholarships for master programs at PSIA in development practice (one-year
program) and in international development (two-year program).
Eligibility
Applicants must be admitted in the following Master programs
at PSIA for the September 2013 incoming class: Master in Development Practice
(one-year program) and Master in International Development (two-year program).
Priority will be given to students coming from countries
relevant to AFD’s mission. These countries include: Benin, Burkina Faso,
Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo,
Djibouti, Ghana, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal,
and Togo.
Requirements
The AFD scholarship is valid for the entire length of study at
PSIA on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class).
Students who do not meet this requirement will have their scholarship
withdrawn:
Students enrolled in the Master in Development Practice must show
sufficient academic
performance during the first semester or their scholarship will be
withdrawn in the second semester.
Students enrolled in the Master in International Development must
show sufficient
academic performance over the course of one year or their
scholarship will be withdrawn in the second year.

(including periods spent abroad on exchange programs)
Two letters of reference: please sign and return the attached
letter
A cover letter of up to 1000 words written in English detailing
your reasons for applying to the AFD-PSIA Scholarship and indicating in which
Master program at PSIA you are admitted
The deadlines to submit your application for the AFD-PSIA
scholarship is April 22, 2013. Students are
encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
