There are a number of scholarships available for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham in UK in 2018.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering Undergraduate Scholarships 2018
The Faculty of Engineering is offering a prestigious scholarship opportunity to students entering courses within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2018.
For UK and EU students
Scholarships of £3,000 will be awarded in recognition of continuing academic excellence to students starting on an undergraduate honours degree programme (BEng or MEng) within Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2018.
£1,000 of the scholarship will be paid on entry and £2,000 will be paid after the summer exams in July 2019 to students who achieve a 70% average in the first year.
Eligibility
Students must:
- attain A level grades of A*AA or above in the subjects which count towards your offer. For excluded subjects, please see the advertised admissions criteria on our website. Equivalent performance in alternative qualifications such as IB, BTEC will also be considered^
- progress from the University of Nottingham Foundation Year with an average of 80%
Only open to Home/EU students who apply through UCAS and firmly accept their place at the University of Nottingham.

International Undergraduate Scholarships 2018
If you are an international (overseas) student starting an undergraduate honours degree programme in engineering, you could be awarded a £1,500 fee reduction in your first year of study.
To qualify for the scholarship, you will need to have applied through UCAS and have made the University of Nottingham your first (firm) choice in the UCAS application process.
If you receive the award in your first year, you may also be awarded £1,000 in your second, third and fourth years. This is conditional based on you passing the previous year (on first sit exams) with an overall average of 70% or above, and having a satisfactory attendance during the previous year as determined by the head of your department.
The scholarship will be paid automatically, you do not need to apply.
Please note that this scholarship is only available to self-funding students. Students who have received full or partial funding of the course from an external organisation or other body where a partnership agreement is in place are not eligible for the discount.
Eligibility
- Only available to students who make the University their first (firm) choice within the UCAS application process for 2018 entry.
- Students progressing from the foundation year in 2018 are eligible for this scholarship.
- Students registering on degree programmes offered jointly with schools or departments outside the Faculty of Engineering are not eligible.
- Students applying through UCAS from the University of Nottingham Malaysia foundation programme are eligible for this scholarship. Students transferring from The University of Nottingham China or Malaysia Campuses to commence their studies in the UK are not eligible for this scholarship, but are entitled to a discount. Please contact Eng-International@nottingham.ac.uk for more details. Students on exchange from these campuses are not eligible.
- This scholarship is not available to students applying for the following courses: BArch, DipArch and MEng Architecture and Environmental Design.
- This scholarship is open to all students with overseas fee status, regardless of nationality.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Excellence Scholarship
Scholarships of £2,500 to £15,000 towards tuition fees are available for international students achieving outstanding grades in their IB Diploma.
High Fliers Scholarship: MArch Architecture - ARB-RIBA Part 2, 2018
In recognition of academic excellence, all students from the faculty who graduate with a first class undergraduate degree will be eligible for a £1,000 fee reduction if accepted on to MArch Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2) for 2018 entry.
Eligibility
- Applies to students who achieve a first class undergraduate degree from The University of Nottingham
- Available to students who begin their studies from 2018
- Available to graduates from the UK, China and Malaysia campuses
- Only available for students coming to study in the UK

Institute for Aerospace Technology Scholarship 2018
This prestigious scholarship is available to all high achieving UK and EU students registering on an undergraduate Aerospace degree programme in 2018 at the University of Nottingham.
The £1,000 award is in recognition of academic excellence to students achieving a minimum of AAA at A level and is paid in the first term.

Engineering Alumni Scholarships 2018 entry
For UK and EU students
The £6,000 award (£1,500 per year of study) is to recognise committed students with a household income less than £35,000 in receipt of an offer for an Engineering MEng programme in 2018.
Eligibility
Students must:
- attain the A level conditions of their offer and be admitted on to an Engineering MEng programme
- only open to Home/EU students who apply through UCAS and firmly accept their place at the University of Nottingham (this scholarship is not available to applicants who made the University of Nottingham their insurance choice)
- have a household income of £35,000 or less
To apply
- Complete the application form attached and return by the closing date of 30 April
Awards will be provisionally allocated by 30 May and paid in October when registered on the course and after verification of income and grades.
