Kent LLM First Class Honours Scholarships for 2018/19 Entry in UK





Kent Law School has established a scholarship for students who undertake a taught LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent, who are liable to pay fees at the Home/EU rate and who have achieved a First Class Honours classification in an undergraduate degree awarded by a UK University.
 
This provides a tuition fee discount of 50% to entrants who meet the eligibility conditions stated below.  The University will assess eligibility for the award after an application for entry to the Kent LLM has been submitted.  To be considered, applicants must submit a KLS PG Funding application form to klspgfunding@kent.ac.uk 

Criteria
You must meet all of the following conditions:
• Have been awarded a First Class degree from a UK University (proven by receipt of transcripts and/or a degree certificate clearly stating that this classification has been awarded)
• Be classified by the University of Kent as a Home/EU student for tuition fee purposes
• Have firmly accepted an offer of a place on the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2018 or January 2019 and have met the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry.  Students undertaking the split-site option are not eligible for this award

POINTS TO NOTE:
This award can be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by the University of Kent, except where they are provided by Kent Law School (in which case the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only).  Please contact us for further information
Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if they meet the above stated conditions
Where students undertake study on the Kent LLM on a part-time mode of study, the award will be made on a pro-rata basis
Successful applications will be notified by email after their offer to study on the Kent LLM is firmly accepted.  Notification will take place in August/September for entry in September and December/January for entry in January

How to apply
The University will assess eligibility for the award after an application for entry to the Kent LLM has been submitted.  To be considered, applicants must submit a KLS PG Funding application form to klspgfunding@kent.ac.uk

Deadline
There is no deadline for application.  However, it is recommended that applicants apply for the Scholarship by 31 August 2018 (for entry in September 2018) or 30 November 2018 (for entry in January 2019) in order that the scholarship can be processed for the start of the academic year.  Those who apply after this time should note that they may not receive the award in time for the start of the academic year.
