Centenary Trust for Women Ada Jackson Scholarship for Master of Teaching

The Centenary Trust for Women at The University of Western Australia (‘the University’) has provided funds to establish a scholarship to assist and encourage an eligible female student experiencing financial hardship, and who demonstrates an interest in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, to undertake a Master of Teaching (Primary) at the University and pursue a career as a primary school teacher to promote science education.




Subject to sufficient annual income in accordance with clause 28.1, one scholarship is available for award each year.

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be a female student;
(b) be experiencing financial hardship;1
(c) have completed an undergraduate degree with a science, technology, engineering or mathematics major; and
(d) have applied for a place in the Master of Teaching (Primary) at the University.

Applicable study:  To assist and encourage an eligible female student experiencing financial hardship, and who demonstrates an interest in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, to undertake a Master of Teaching (Primary) at the University and pursue a career as a primary school teacher to promote science education.  
Closing date: 2 November
Tenure: Two semesters, which are normally consecutive
