Switzerland is offering a limited number of university scholarships to Tanzanian students for the academic year 2012/2013 for studies at one of Switzerland's 10 Universities and 2 Federal Institutes of Technology.
The university scholarships are intended for post-graduate students only, with as special emphasis put on Research Fellowships. Applicants who already hold a Master degree and wish to undertake a second (or 3rd) Master degree are not considered a priority for the Swiss Government Scholarships.
Candidates should not be older than 35 years (i.e. born after 1 January 1977).
For Master programs, the applicant has to be proficient in the teaching language in order to be eligible for a Swiss Government Scholarship and must provide the relevant language certificate with the application package. If the teaching language at your chosen university in Switzerland is English, and you have completed your bachelor cursus in English, a letter from the university confirming this will be sufficient.
It is essential that you fill in the application forms electronically and print them out to attach to your file. Forms filled in by hand will not be accepted.
Each application form and all the annexed documents required have to be sent in triplicate in the given order (see p. 12 of Application Guidelines). The complete application files should be submitted to the Embassy not later than 29 December 2011.
