University of York Scholarships for International Students 2017/18 in UK





The University of York in UK offers a number of scholarships for international students (non-EU) to help with tuition fees and living costs.

These scholarships are available to applicants who pay tuition fees at the international rate. If you're unsure whether you're classed as a UK, EU or international student for fee purposes.


Scholarship for overseas students
For applicants holding an offer to study any subject full-time (excluding medicine).
  • You will receive a 25% discount on your overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.
  • This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
  • You must hold an offer for your chosen course to be eligible to apply.
As part of the application for this scholarship, you must supply a personal statement between 500 to 800 words. You should tell us why you think you are a strong candidate for this scholarship. We recommend that you prepare this statement before you start the online application.

Scholarship for overseas medicine students
For applicants commencing MBBS study at the Hull York Medical School.
  • You will receive a 25% discount on your overseas tuition fee for the first two years of successful study.     
  • This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
  • You must hold an offer for your chosen course to be eligible to apply.
As part of the application for this scholarship, you must supply a personal statement between 500 to 800 words. You should tell us why you think you are a strong candidate for this scholarship. We recommend that you prepare this statement before you start the online application.

Equal Access Scholarships
This scholarship is for undergraduate students who are seeking refuge in the UK. Students who receive this scholarship will not pay any tuition fees, and will be given up to £10,660 to help with living costs.
