OWSD PhD Fellowship

The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) is offering Postgraduate Training Fellowships for Women Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDC) at Centres of Excellence in the South.

The Fellowship is offered to women scientists to pursue postgraduate research in a field of the natural sciences.  Deadline for applications: 31 May 2016.

The Einstein Fellowship 2017

The Einstein Forum and the Daimler and Benz Foundation are offering a fellowship for outstanding young thinkers who wish to pursue a project in a different field from that of their previous research.

The purpose of the fellowship is to support those who, in addition to producing superb work in their area of specialization, are also open to other, interdisciplinary approaches – following the example set by Albert Einstein.

University of Leicester President's Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based Masters course starting in September or October at the University of Leicester in UK.

This scholarship is open to applicants who already have an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study for a Masters degree programme at the University.

Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowships

Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowships support the writing-up of already completed research. The fellowship is awarded to scholars in the earlier stages of their careers, when they frequently lack the time and resources to develop their research for publication.  Scholars with a Ph.D. in hand for no more than ten years (from the application deadline) are eligible to apply. A maximum of eight Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded annually.

University of Adelaide International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS)

International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) are available in the first two scholarship rounds to outstanding international applicants from any country who have a First Class Honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research in areas of University research strength.

LSE Graduate Support Scheme

Around £2 million is available annually in the form of awards from the Graduate Support Scheme (GSS). The Scheme is designed to help students who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study. GSS awards range in value from £5,000 to a maximum of £15,000 and have an average value of £7,000.

Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)

The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The Guy S. Goodwin-Gill Scholarship

The University of London has established two prestigious scholarships for the MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies, the Guy S. Goodwin-Gill Scholarship for students beginning their studies in October, and the Sadako Ogata Scholarship for students beginning their studies in March.

Hamburg University Academic Scholarships for Master Students

Hamburg University of Applied Sciences awards scholarships to academically strong foreign students studying in Master degree programmes. 

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships support candidates to study Master’s degree courses that are either offered in partnership with universities in developing countries, or delivered directly by UK institutions.

Matsumae International Foundation’s Research Fellowship Program 2017

Upon the concept of the founder of the Matsumae International Foundation (MIF), “Towards A Greater Understanding of Japan and a Lasting World Peace”, MIF has started the Research Fellowship Program in 1980.

LPS PhD Scholarships at University of Sussex

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to take up new PhD studentship opportunities in the School of Law Politics and Sociology.

Scholarships, in the form of full fee waivers, are available from September 2016 for a period of three years. There may also be an exceptional stipend of approximately £14,500 awarded to the best PhD applicant in the School.

University of Edinburgh Informatics International Master's Scholarships

The School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh will offer up to 10 Master's scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic session.

Award

Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000 and will be tenable for one academic year.
