Scholarships for International Students at Ulm University





Ulm University offers the following scholarships to foreign students.

The scholarships are only awarded to students who have registered their thesis and are financially needy. The scholarships support foreign students at Ulm University, who are nearing graduation and in need through no fault of their own.



The scholarship is awarded once for a period of up to one semester and amounts to 250 to 300 EUR per month.

If you want to apply it, please submit the following documents:
• Application form
• 
Summary of your study records (for example a copy of your transcript)  
• registration certificate of the thesis
• curriculum vitae
• 
Income statement (generally statements of all bank accounts of the last 3 month)
• current certificate of enrolment
• copy of passport or identity card

Application deadlines are 28.02. and 30.09 respectively. Please submit the application at the International Office (helpdesk), Ulm University.

Matching Funds Emergency Aids
Foreign students at Ulm University, who have not received any other scholarships and run into financial difficulties through no fault of their own, may apply for a matching funds emergency aid.
The amount and duration of the scholarship are based on the relevant situation of the applicant and the available funds. The award and amount of scholarships are decided by the International Office of Ulm University. It is a short-term and one-time funding, not a permanent scholarship. The length of the grant is up to one semester.
Applicants must pursue their studies successfully and be financially needy. The scholarship is awarded once for a period of up to one semester.

Scholarships for Students and Doctoral Candidates Honoring Activities for the Benefit of other Students, the University or Society
In each semester Ulm University offers "Scholarships for Students and Doctoral Candidates Honoring Activities for the Benefit of other Students, the University or Society" to support foreign students who will finish their studies in Ulm.
The scholarships are only awarded to senior students who have studied at least two semesters at the university.
The scholarship rewards students who contribute to improving the situation of other students by volunteer activities and individual commitment.
Applicants must pursue their studies successfully and be financially needy. 
The scholarship is awarded for a period of up to one semester (a maximum of six months) and amounts to 250 EUR per month.
