University of Edinburgh School of GeoSciences Bursaries for MSc by Research in Geography





Funds from the Lamb and Meiklejohn endowments have allowed the School of Geosciences to offer 2 £5000 bursaries towards a Masters degree in Geography.

These include both physical and human geography degrees: the MSc by Research in Human Geography and the MSc by Research in GeoSciences Individual Project in Physical Geography.

These bursaries come with an additional £1000 Research Training Support Grant for necessary research expenses such as conference attendance. Students who already have full funding are not eligible to apply. Students who have part funding, e.g. a fees only award are particularly encouraged to apply.


Applications comprising a CV; a 1500 word research proposal; and two academic references should be made to Rosanna Maccagnano rosanna.maccagnano@ed.ac.uk no later than 5pm on Monday 4th May. Prospective applicants are expected to have discussed their research proposal with a prospective supervisor in advance of submitting an application.
