Curtin University Office of Research & Development PhD Scholarship





Curtin has an exciting opportunity for two PhD students to participate an ARC future fellowship project within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Bentley campus.  This project involves the development of geometric tools to tackle problems of tracking control for multi-input linear time -invariant systems.

Scholarship Value
This scholarship shall provide a stipend of AUD$25,849 (2015 rate) per annum which is tax exempt and indexed annually for the duration of the award. 

If an international student was chosen, this scholarship will also provide a tuition fees waiver for the duration of the award.

The duration of the award is three (3) years with a maximum possible six months extension.

Eligibility criteria
  • Hold or expect to obtain, First Class Honours or equivalent results;
  • Have a strong background in control theory, dynamic systems and linear algebra;
  • Have good skills in using Matlab and/or Mathematica.
