New Europe College Fellowships for advanced PhD Students and Post Docs

2015 Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are offered by the CSC in partnership with UK universities. 2015 University of Sussex Chancellor's International Scholarship

Eldred-Waverley Scholarship at Linacre College

The Eldred-Waverley Scholarship at Linacre College was established in 2012. It funds students from sub-Saharan Africa to study the MSc African Studies at Oxford.

The scholarship is funded from three sources:

• The Waverley Fund, which was established in 2001 and aims to fund excellent students from disadvantaged backgrounds; 
• Linacre College, which is a college of the University of Oxford; and
• The University's African Studies Centre, which is one of the world’s leading centres for African Studies.

Chevening/LSHTM Partnership Award

Chevening is proud to partner with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) to co-fund up to ten partnership awards available to candidates from Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda.

These particular awards are being offered in addition to the main Chevening Awards. Project: Multi-level analysis of the science-policy-practice interface in climate change adaptation in East and West Africa

Background: With the increased urgency of adaptation to climate change in the agricultural sector, there is more and more experimentation with how to bring scientific insights into national policy discussions. Emerging science-policy interface platforms vary in their forms, but they all aim to be mechanisms to shorten the distance between the co-production of cutting edge applied science and scientifically informed policies that are equitable and effective. However, how and why such modes of science-policy interface work within the political economy of adaptation remains poorly understood.

Tim Hetherington Grant

World Press Photo and Human Rights Watch are delighted to invite all photojournalists, documentary photographers and multimedia producers around the world to apply for the fourth annual Tim Hetherington Grant.

The grant, worth 20,000 euro, is intended for the support of a visual storyteller in completing an existing project on a human rights theme. The entries close on 31 October and the announcement of the recipient will be made in New York City on 10 December.

Post-Doctoral Scientist Food Safety and Zoonosis / CCAFS Flagship 2

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a post-doctoral Scientist to work in Vietnam and Laos.

The scientist will report to a senior scientist in ILRI’s Food Safety and Zoonoses team. His or her role will be to coordinate the project activities to ensure a good integration of work components, to strengthen research activities of FSZ program on agriculture related diseases forecast and to generate research and other outputs. International Development Fellows Program (IDFP)

The Catholic Relief Services' International Development Fellows Program (IDFP) gives people who are interested in a career in international relief and development an opportunity to increase their overseas experience and gain exposure to our programs.

Oxford Graduate Scholarships

The Oxford Graduate Scholarships were established to support graduate students of the highest calibre from across the world.

Over 60 scholarships are available for 2015-16 and we aim to offer up to 130 new, fully-funded scholarships each year when we meet our total fundraising goal. The University contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, together with 60% from generous donations provided by numerous supporters of the University and its colleges.

CIMO Fellowships

The CIMO Fellowships programme is open to young Doctoral level students and researchers from all countries and from all academic fields. Master's level studies or post-doctoral studies/research are not supported in the programme.

The primary target group in the CIMO Fellowship programme are such Doctoral level students who will be doing their Doctorate (or Double Doctorate) at a Finnish university.
