Alan R. and Barbara D. Finberg Fellowship - Established in memory of Alan R. and Barbara D. Finberg, early supporters of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”), this fellowship is open to recent graduates (at the Master's level) in the fields of law, journalism, international relations, or other relevant studies. Graduates with LL.B. degrees or advanced degrees in other relevant disciplines may also be considered.

Resident Scholar Fellowships at the School for Advanced Research

The School for Advanced Research (SAR) in Santa Fe, NM invites applications for its 2015–16 Resident Scholar Fellowships.

Australian Catholic University Law and Business Faculty Scholarships

The Executive Dean's Scholarships are available to international students commencing a course offered by the School of Business course in 2014 and 2015. It is valued at up to AU$8,000.

Scholarship details

The successful applicant will receive AU$1000 towards the cost of their tuition fees every semester, provided they continue to successfully complete all their enrolled units. The maximum value of the scholarship depends on the length of the recipient’s program:

National Academy of Education/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship

The National Academy of Education/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports early career scholars working in critical areas of education research.

This non-residential postdoctoral fellowship funds proposals that make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education. The program also develops the careers of its recipients through professional development activities involving National Academy of Education members.

Danish State Tuition Fee Waivers and Scholarships at Roskilde University

A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered to highly talented students at graduate level, who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and need a residence permit to study at Roskilde University.

The tuition fee waiver and scholarship has a maximum length of 22 months for programmes that start in September and a maximum length of 24 months for programmes that start in February.

Wilson Center Fellowship

Project Description
Improvements in nanoscale fabrication have given us the ability to build structures on scales where quantum effects do not only have to be considered, but enable device operation. For this project we are interested in quantum networks of spins, which have properties very different from classical networks, that hold the potential for low congestion and higher parallel throughput across few quantum wires, in particular, for on-chip interconnects based on spin transport.

The Abdou-Salam Ouédraogo (ASO) Fellowship is awarded annually by Bioversity International to a young forest genetic resources scientist in Sub-Saharan Africa. The purpose of the Fellowship is to give talented African scientists working on forest genetic resources opportunity to develop their capacity through interaction with, and mentorship by a scientist at Bioversity International.

Swansea University Fully-funded PhD Studentship in Medicine

Swansea University's College of Medicine invites applications from highly motivated and ambitious candidates for a fully-funded PhD studentship.

The project involves an investigation into the rheological properties of blood clots, in order to develop a new biomarker for predicting risk of embolic events in patients with Deep Vein Thrombosis.  The student will be based at the Centre for Nanohealth, but will also carry out research at the Haemostasis Biomedical Research Unit on site of Morriston Hospital. As part of the project, the student will be given the opportunity to spend a period at Penn Medicine, USA to undertake training using advanced imaging techniques such as Spinning Disk Confocal Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy.

2015 - Curtin Canning College Science International Scholarship

The Curtin Canning College Science International Bursary has been developed by Curtin University to support International students enrolling at Curtin University in 2015 who have demonstrated high-level academic achievement in their studies at Canning College, and obtained an ATAR of at least 96 or equivalent in 2014.

Women's Studies in Religion Program (WSRP) Research Associate

Each year Harvard Divinity School selects five candidates for full-time Research Associate and Visiting Faculty positions in its Women's Studies in Religion Program. Proposals for book-length research projects using both religion and gender as central categories of analysis are welcomed. They may address women and religion in any time, place, or religious tradition, and may utilize disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches from across the fields of theology, the humanities, and the social sciences.

University of Warwick Chancellor's International Scholarship

The Chancellor's International Scholarships at University of Warwick are allocated annually via a combined postgraduate research scholarship competition and are open to all overseas students to any discipline offered at Warwick.

Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to hire an Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Humanities for a two-year appointment commencing Fall 2015.

The Fellow will spend the two-year term in residence at Illinois, conduct research on the proposed project, and teach two courses per year in the appropriate academic department.

The Fellow will participate in activities related to his or her research at the IPRH, in the teaching department, and on the Illinois campus. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will also give a public lecture on his or her research.

Postdoctoral Fellowships at Dartmouth College

These fellowships foster the academic careers of scholars who have recently received their Ph.D. degrees, by permitting them to pursue their research while gaining mentored experience as teachers and members of the departments and/or programs in which they are housed. The program also benefits Dartmouth by complementing existing curricula with underrepresented fields.

Postdoctoral Fellows are individuals at the early stages of their careers who demonstrate exceptional promise as scholar-teachers. There are two categories of Postdoctoral Fellows: Society Fellows and Affiliate Fellows.

TWAS-CONACYT Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme

The National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT), Mexico City, Mexico, and TWAS offer fellowships for scientists from developing countries (other than Mexico) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in the natural sciences.

Programme Details

• TWAS-CONACYT Postdoctoral Fellowships are tenable at  research centers and institutions of higher education and research in Mexico recognized by CONACYT, for a minimum period of six to a maximum period of twelve months and are awarded to  scientists from developing countries (other than Mexico) to enable them to pursue advanced research in the natural sciences and related fields.
• All major public and private institutions of higher education and research centers in Mexico are recognized by CONACYT. 

2015 - Curtin Canning College Engineering International Scholarship

The Curtin Canning College Engineering International Bursary has been developed by Curtin University to support International students enrolling at Curtin University in 2015 who have demonstrated high-level academic achievement in their studies at Canning College, and obtained an ATAR of at least 96 or equivalent in 2014.

University of Wollongong Undergraduate Scholarships

The University of Wollongong in Australia is awarding undergraduate scholarships for Australian and international students to study at its Australian campuses.

UOW UNDERGRADUATE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS (UES)
The UES offers a 25% reduction of the published annual course tuition fee for the duration of the course, up to a maximum of 4 years.

There is no limit to the number of UES available – as long as you meet the academic criteria, you will automatically be awarded the scholarship along with your offer of admission:  

Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) promote capacity building within organisations in 51 countries by providing fellowships for training and education for professionals. The NFP is initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the budget for development cooperation.

Aim of the NFP

The NFP aims to help increase both the number and the competencies of skilled staff at a wide range of government and non-government organisations.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists for the Academic Year 2015-2016

The Swiss government, through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), awards various postgraduate scholarships to foreign scholars and researchers:

• University scholarships (Swiss universities, Federal Institutes of Technology, as well as Universities of Applied Sciences)
• Arts scholarships (schools of music and fine arts, only for a limited number of countries).

These scholarships provide graduates from all fields with the opportunity to pursue doctoral or postdoctoral research in Switzerland at one of the public funded university or recognised institution.

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Scholarships for International Students

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) offers many scholarship opportunities for international students!

ACSBI Fellowship

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2015 ACSBI Fellowships.

The ACSBI offers a 12 months fellowship with a value of USD50,000 for beginning investigators. Preference will be given to projects with potential benefit to low- and middle-income countries.

Liverpool Hope University International Postgraduate Scholarship

Liverpool Hope University in UK is offering scholarships to new international postgraduate students at the university.

International Postgraduate Scholarships are available to postgraduate degree applicants and are worth half the tuition fees (e.g. 50% discount on fees, for 2014/15 intake this amounts to between £2,900 and £5,400).
