In addition to the Long Term Awards for Masters and Agricultural PhDs, the Australian Government offers two types of short-term Australia Award opportunities available for African nationals.
400 Short Course Award opportunities will be available for eligible African candidates. Short Course Awards allow scholars to participate in short courses of up to three months. Training is available for experienced employees from African public, private and non-government organisations (civil society) in the following fields:
· Agriculture
· International Diplomacy
· Mining
· Organisational Development
· Public Private Partnerships
· Technical and Vocational Education and Training Policy
· Reform and Teacher Skills Upgrades
· Trade Policy, Analysis and Negotiation
Applications from Africans wishing to undertake a short course in the available fields, will open on September 1 and close end of November.
Successful applicants will have costs covered, including air ticket, visa expenses, accommodation, living allowance and Workshop/Short course tuition.
