2014 Australian Government Masters Awards


As part of the Australian Government’s increasing engagement in Africa, Australia Awards in Africa (AAA) offer study opportunities at post-graduate level to candidates from Tanzania. 

The scholarships are offered at Masters level for up to two years as well as short professional development courses of up to three months. There are also limited opportunities for PhD studies in Agriculture-related disciplines. 

The scholarships, which are implemented by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), are part of Australia’s effort to assist African countries realise the Millennium Development Goals. They also help build institutional and people-to-people linkages.

Priority fields are:
Agriculture/Food security
Health (including HIV/AIDS)
Natural Resources Management (including petroleum engineering and mining)
Public Policy  (including public sector management,  public sector reform, trade, international diplomacy)
