2014, Sem 1 Innovative International Scholarships Offshore Pathway Transfer

The Sem 1 Innovative International Scholarships Offshore Pathway Transfer scholarship awards eligible students 25% of their first year of tuition. This scholarship aims to grow the trust and confidence in Curtin University as a place for students to further their studies, careers and life experiences.


Additionally, eligible students who enrol in a Curtin English program before undertaking their study at the University will receive a 10 per cent discount on Curtin English fees.

Value
25% of first year tuition fee, up to a maximum of AUD$10,000
If students are enrolling into a Masters’ degree, it must be a Masters’ degree with a minimum of 400 credits. If the Masters course is less than 400 credit points in duration then a 25% scholarship off the first semester of fees is applicable.

All UG and PG (master by coursework) available to International Students.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet all the following to be eligible to apply:
  • Must meet Curtin University and course academic and english language entry requirements
  • Must be international, full fee-paying students
  • Must have completed a recognised Curtin University program at one of Curtin University's offshore partner or branch campus locations and must show evidence of this (Curtin Sarawak, Curtin Singapore, Curtin Sydney, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, SEAMEO RETRAC, Charles Telfair Institute, HKU Space, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and the Sri Lankan Institute of Information Technology only)
  • Must be commencing a full undergraduate or master (coursework) degree in Semester 1, 2014 at Curtin University, Western Australia
  • Curtin English discounted fee: Applicants who are required to study English prior to commencing their course at Curtin University must have been successfully assessed as being eligible to enrol in the course for which they have been awarded the scholarship in order to receive the 10 per cent discount off their tuition fee at Curtin English
Please note: Students With Credits for Recognised Learning are not eligible to apply

Enrolment requirements
Unless there are exceptional circumstances recipients must:
  • Remain enrolled in initial course and major of study
  • Maintain a 'good standing' status 
  • Maintain a full time enrolment of 100 credit points each semester at Curtin University
  • Maintain a course weighted average above 50%
  • Remain international students through the duration of the scholarship period (penalties may apply for students who withdraw or are terminated from their scholarship year)
Recipients who breach the scholarship conditions shall be ineligible to retain the scholarship. A student who withdraws from their units or course of study or is terminated from studies will become ineligible for continuation of the scholarship and will be required to repay to the university any scholarship awarded for that study period
